Craig Sultan, founder and CEO of WCG, brings with him over 25 years of operational, technical engineering, investment banking, and financial institutional research experience. Craig has advised and raised over $1 billion dollars for nearly 40 transactions in the following areas: water technologies, advanced batteries, efficient lighting, power management for the grid, building lighting control systems, electric vehicles, fuel cells, thin film solar, concentrated solar, solar ribbon technology, Coal to Liquids, electric vehicle system integration, biofuels (first and second generation technologies), nano-technologies, sustainable building technologies, as well as a number of wireless and data communications companies.

Craig was Global Head of the Energy Group at ThomasLloyd Capital, LLC, where he launched the firm’s investment banking practice and completed seven of the firm’s eight transactions within 18 months for alternative fuels, energy efficiency, and next generation vehicle companies. Craig was also a Principal in the launch of a China-based clean energy technology fund and obtained over $100mm in commitments.

Craig launched the wireless communications banking practice and then the Next Generation Energy franchise at Merriman Curhan Ford & Co., the latter which comprised nearly one-third of the entire banking practice during the firm’s first three years of business. Craig began his career as a technical product manager in data communications and software development within the defense aerospace industry and spent the subsequent several years as an institutional sell-side securities analyst in technology at such firms as Montgomery Securities (Banc of America Securities), Pacific Growth Equities (Wedbush Morgan), and Unterberg Harris. Craig subsequently founded Worldwide Capital Partners, LLC, which provided financial, strategic, and Investment Banking advisory services to domestic and international businesses with offices in San Francisco and New York.

Craig has a Master of Business Administration in finance and management from Columbia University. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University.
